Housing and Roommates

gallery21Participants will be housed in dormitories located on the campus of Warren Wilson College.  All participants will be housed in double rooms, with adult participants housed separately from counselors and campers. Counselor to camper ration is about 1:34. Due to limited housing campers will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.

You can choose your roommate on your application or leave it blank and make a new friend! If the person you requested to room with is not fully registered by May 25 you will be assigned a roommate approximately your age and from your area of the state.

Sometimes campers mail both their applications in the same envelope to make sure they get to room together – we do our BEST to make sure you are happy campers!!  We have many campers from different areas of NC (and sometimes different states) who meet at camp every summer and room together. It becomes their tradition!

In the event the same person is named for two different roommates we will chose based on the earliest postmarked application. (If you are traveling with a choir, your choir director will have sent us specific roommate assignments for you.)  We usually place singers from the same school on the same hall in the same building – unless you and your teacher request otherwise.

There will be a $50.00 charge for roommate changes generated by the participant after May 25.  If you select this option, please know that the room change will be made the morning after on-site registration. There will be no charge for roommate changes made by us which occur because your requested roommate did not register and/or your roommate choice does not participate in camp at all.

Although new campers are very welcome and we may still have some room, we caution that there is no guarantee of t-shirt size, music, or roommate choice for any camper who registers after May 25.
